With stories and songs, Mike Coleman shares how two men who love each other battled intense homophobia, both the external and internal varieties, from the time they met 50 years ago through the years that followed. Gordon Fowler will play some songs for the occasion. Reception with the author to follow.
This group, comprised of members of the Jacksonville Symphony, educates and enriches the lives of people of all ages and incomes by presenting world-class chamber music concerts. The main piece they will perform is Schubert's "String Quintet," considered by many to be the most beautiful chamber music piece.
